Dig (Cobblestone Publishing) is a magazine for young people ages 9 and up that specializes in archaeological discoveries.  The library keeps the current year's issues as well as one past year in the Youth Department.

Two other Cobblestone publications will be useful to your research.  Calliope is a history magazine for young people 9 and up. The September 2001 issue is "The Pyramids and Egypt's Old Kingdom."   Faces focuses on World Cultures and is also for young people ages 9 and up.  The library keeps one year of each magazine with the Youth Magazines on the second floor.  All previous issues are kept in the Youth book collection along with the books about similar subjects.

Don't forget to check National Geographic.  The magazine room on the first floor houses National Georgraphic back to 2002. The June 2004 issue (Vol. 205 Issue 6) has an article "Treasures from Egypt's Past."
