Eating Animals, by Jonathan Safran Foer, is not an easy book to read, but if you eat, then you should read this. Actually, Foer's writing style is very easy to read - he sounds like he is talking with you and offers plenty of funny anecdotes and stories along with his many and profound facts about the food industry. What is hard to read is the incredibly disturbing way in which the food industry operates and the depth they go to keep this information hidden. But this important book is so much more than that. Please, read it.
