Ready, Set, Write: NaNoWriMo

Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the Trustees Room

Are you interested in participating in National Novel Writing Month? Come find out what it is, how it's done, what makes it a great writing tool/strategy, and get some tips on successfully completing your NaNoWriMo from a five-time winner Jamie Sheffield. Jamie will share the shape, benefits, and possible pitfalls of NaNoWriMo, along with some thoughts on planning, time management, setting realistic goals, and other things, based on my experiences with NaNoWriMo.

National Novel Writing Month is a 30 day, 50,000-word writing challenge held every November. Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been unsure of how to start, or scared away by the time and effort involved.

If you would you like to get your completed novel into the Keene Public Library’s eBook collection, check out SELF-e, a new service just for our local authors.
