Crabtree Puppet Theatre Performs at Keene Public Library

Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 1 p.m.

Families and children of all ages are invited to a special puppet performance of The Three Little Pigs Build a Better House.  Enjoy this delightful and hilarious new take on an old tale, featuring beautiful puppetry, lively music and three adorable pigs performed by the award-winning Crabgrass Puppet Theatre. The three little pigs need new homes but aren’t sure if they can trust their architect, B. B. Wolfe. He says that straw makes “excellent insulation,” and sticks provide “built-in ventilation.” Is it possible Mr. Wolf has ulterior motives?

Crabgrass Puppet Theatre is an award-winning touring puppet theatre founded in 1982 in San Francisco by Jamie Keithline and Bonny Hall. They continue to delight audiences across the nation with their whimsical humor and puppetry. Now, residents of Halifax, Vermont, they tour throughout the U.S., performing in schools, museums, and theaters. Their performing venues have included the Detroit Institute of Art, the Smithsonian, Paper Mill Playhouse, Tribeca Performing Arts Center, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and dozens of regional and national puppetry festivals.
