April Family Dance

Friday, April 7, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in Heberton Hall

The dance is part of a series of dances held the first Friday of the month from September through May at the Keene Public Library’s Heberton Hall. Amy Cann of Putney, Vermont will be the featured caller. Cann teaches at the Putney School Dances and is a member of Apple Crisp, Calliope, Interstate Quartet, Jack’s Maggot, Next Generation Orchestra and the Emulsifiers. Cann will be accompanied by Jane Orzechowski on the fiddle and members of the Putney School Traditional Music Ensemble. The evening will include traditional contras, squares and circle dances of New England as well as singing squares, play-party games from around the world, and modern contras. The evening ends at 8:30 p.m. and includes live music and free refreshments.
