Get Ready to Vote for Your Favorite Ladybug Book

Have you read one of the ten nominated Ladybug Books yet?

Lots of kids and families in New Hampshire will be spending the next few months reading each book so that in November 2017 they can vote on their favorite title. Look for these books at the Keene Public Library.

Princess Hyacinth (the Surprising Tale of a Girl Who Floated) by Florence Parry Heide and illustrated by Lane Smith was selected by New Hampshire children, from preschoolers to third graders, as the winner of the 2010 Ladybug Picture Book Award.

2010 Ladybug Award Nominations Announced

Recently, a committee of children's librarians from around the state met and selected the 10 picture book titles that will make up the 2010 Ladbybug Picture Book Award Short List. The award, sponsored by the Center for the Book at the New Hampshire State Library, is designed to promote early literacy and honor the best in recent children's picture books.  Look for these books in the Keene Public Library's Youth Department.
